Your application runs on Eagle 3D Streaming's servers, not on your users' machines. This is the hardware it gets, the budget it has to fit inside, and what happens if it does not.
Eagle 3D Streaming's servers are in the United States and Europe. Apps can also run on AWS, GCP and Azure — see cloud VMs if you need a specific region or want to use your own account.
| Resource | The machine has | Your app should use up to |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | 32 GB | 20 GB |
| GPU memory | 12–16 GB | 4–6 GB |
| CPU | Intel i7 / AMD R7 | 50–70% utilisation |
| GPU | RTX 4080 / 5070 | 50–70% utilisation |
The right-hand column is the one that matters. The machine's full capacity is not yours to spend: the operating system, the encoder that turns your frames into video, and the streaming stack all need room. An app that fits the middle column but not the right one will look fine in testing and fail under load.
GPU memory. Running out of it is the most common reason an
upload fails its test or a stream dies mid-session, and the error it
produces — Out of Video Memory — usually arrives
without warning after several minutes of apparently normal running.
Three settings do more for streaming performance than anything else, and cost the least to change. They are listed, with where each one is set, at the top of optimising your app, which goes considerably further, including the settings that matter specifically on phones.
Some applications genuinely cannot fit — a large architectural scene, a simulation with heavy physics, anything built for a workstation. Contact support rather than trying to squeeze it in. Custom hardware is available, and a machine sized for the app costs far less than a stream that fails in front of your customers.
