If your IP address has been blocked

If an Eagle 3D Streaming stream will not open and the page says your IP address has been blocked, this explains why that happens and how to get it lifted.

What the message means

Instead of the player you see a page that says:

Your IP address (…) has been blocked by Eagle 3D Streaming. Our system identified an automated script repeatedly opening streams from this address, which holds streaming machines that other people are waiting for.

The block applies to the internet address the request came from, not to your account. Signing in as somebody else, or opening a different application, will show the same page from the same connection.

Why an address gets blocked

Every stream occupies a real machine with a real GPU for as long as it runs. When a script opens streams on a schedule and nobody is watching them, those machines are unavailable to people who are.

Addresses are not blocked automatically. Support blocks one by hand, after seeing traffic that could not have come from a person — a stream opened at the same number of seconds past the hour, over and over, for hours, with no interaction in between. "A lot of traffic" alone is not that pattern. A busy person reloading a page does not look like that, and is not blocked for it.

How to get it lifted

Email support@eagle3dstreaming.com. Give the address shown in the message and what the automation was doing, and support reviews it. Entries are added by a person and removed by a person, so there is nothing to wait out — a block does not expire on its own.

Removing an address takes effect within a few seconds. There is no maintenance window to wait for, and no restart is needed.
